Iceland is the Halls of Mandos

Can someone who lives in Iceland confirm if this is real, or are people mostly just playing along for the journalist and laughing at how gullible the American media is? I also think the journalist is giving us little snippets of a long conversation and making it appear like the entire country sincerely believes in elves when it's probably just a fun myth that no one takes seriously (except perhaps children)

I get it, it's a joke, but why does the journalist have to have such a smug smirk the entire time

He shouldn't be such a condescending asshole about their beliefs.
I don't see him going to Saudi Arabia and making fun of the goverment for stoning women who got raped because Allah told them to.

man seems compelled to adopt some kind of irrational belief system no matter how enlightened.

Why would you take on a report like this if you are going to scoff, mock and make fun of people you are talking to?

I happen to be an elf whisperer and at 00:52 you can hear them conspiring.
