Under Moffat's tenure, the Doctor has lived an additional 1000 years in just 2 incarnations (compared to the 1000 of the previous 10 doctors) and that means he has lived for 2000 years as a man. I get that under Moffat, it was established that TimeLords can go transgender, but what I want to know is, how is the Doctor going to cope? He's a male gone female... Remember when the 11th Doctor thought he was a woman? He nearly went bonkers.

Come on guys, you all knew this was going to happen at some point, ever since The Master regenerated into a woman, it was obvious that this was going to happen.

Hoping the Christmas special is awesome. Because I am done with Doctor who after that.  #notmydoctor

Taking note how everyone going on about "not my doctor" and "no longer a fan" is male. Just sayin'.
I dunno, I had doubts when Matt Smith was introduced and the same with Capaldi, he'll, I skipped season 9 because 8 had bored me to tears and the companion dynamic had shifted so much that it was kinda dull. 10 brought me back with the work off the Doctor interacting with Bill and Nardole being much more what brought me into the series in the first place. If the character works right, is still energised, excited about exploring and showing the world to their companions, said companions being much more engaging, but most importantly telling interesting and gripping stories, I don't really care. But for the love of God, don't take the doctor to either extreme of goodliness or darkness... Again...

:O A Woman. Britain did what the U.S could not. Now the question is, will that pay off.

I stopped watching after David Tennant's run... My decision is cemented.

So you have your first female doctor, now what about a child doctor (wink wink nudge nudge).

Doctor Who has been teaching us for years about understanding and accepting the differences between us, about embracing all the unique attributes of not only humans but possible other species and races. Do not judge by appearences, we are not the mosters we make look. I am saddened to see so many Who fans react in such a childish knee jerk way to a female Doctor. It is like they have learned nothing from the show. Go away then, don't watch it anymore, you were not true Who fans in the first place. You will not be missed.

They should make Nicholas Cage the doctor for a season.

LOL 35k dislikes. I didn't think that many people even watched this show

Everyone, it doesn't matter what gender the doctor is. But what does matter is good lines and good acting. So don't you dare judge until you see her in action as the doctor, you might be surprised that she's better in a full episode rather than a minute of her walking.

cool, this is going to be good

It's Doctor Who not Nurse Who. Bloody feminists ruining this show. Next thing you know her assistant is going to be male. Females can't tell males what to do

People judging before they've even seen an episode smh

Utterly pathetic that the bbc are deleting comments I took a screenshot a few days ago and the video had 39873 comments now it not has 27606. This is misrepresentation of fans feelings and opinions.

“I’m a feminist and recognise there are still glass ceilings in place for many women, but where would we draw the line? A Mr Marple instead of Miss Marple? A Tarzanette?” - Sylvester McCoy

‘To have a female would be like having a female James Bond. It would be a rather odd thing.’ - Peter Davison

“Oddly enough most people who said they were dead against it – and I know I’ll get into trouble for saying this – were women, [They were] saying, ‘No, no, don’t make him a woman!'” - Stephen Moffat

People arguing it's good for diversity... Still a WHITE person to me.
