David McDonald Sherer, Jr. (born February 14, 1937 in Galion, Ohio) is a former American football end in the National Football League for the Baltimore Colts and the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Southern Methodist University and the New Mexico Military Institute and was drafted in the second round of the 1959 NFL Draft. Sherer was also selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1960 NFL Expansion Draft.
