Elena Valenciano

María Elena Valenciano Martínez-Orozco (born 18 September 1960 in Madrid) is a Spanish politician and former Member of the European Parliament for the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party, part of the Party of European Socialists. Valenciano resigned from the European parliament in 2008 when she was elected to the Spanish Parliament, representing Madrid.1She is a trustee of the Fundacion IDEAS, Spain's Socialist Party's think tank.
