Similar to most software firewalls, Jetico Personal Firewall can enforce application specific network rules. Jetico Personal Firewall also monitors processes for malicious code injection, checks the validity of network packets and parameters, and log network activity.
Version 220.127.116.11 was chosen to be released to the public on December 30, 2004, after several beta and release candidates versions. As of August 1, 2006, development for Jetico Personal Firewall version 1 was halted.1

Version 18.104.22.168 was released to the public on April 23, 2007.
Version 2 operates as a privileged Windows service, allowing it to function before user login. It adds support for Fast User Switching and Terminal Services. Version 2 also integrates with the Windows XP Service Pack 2 Security Center.2
