Lutts is an unincorporated community in Wayne County, Tennessee, United States.2 It is also known as "Pinhook."

Lutts is served by the Lutts Volunteer Fire Department and Lutts Community Center. The Pinhook School (home of the Pinhook Panthers) formerly operated in Lutts.


The economy of Lutts is mainly agricultural and actuarial. Wilbanks auto body shop and various other small businesses are also located in Lutts. Most of the commerce in Lutts is related to the prominent Holt family. The current CEO of the Holt's business enterprises is Matthew "Bubba" Holt.

The prominent Braunius family is considering investing in a series of tattoo parlors later in 2014. Lutts residents favor "ink" body art, so this could further add to the area's economic development.


Much of the local area recreation centers around activities at Lake Lutts.

The Lake Lutts Convention Center and Hotel plays host to a number of well known events, and is a popular getaway for those across the southeast.

The Center features tennis, golf, boating and fishing, and a variety of other activities.

Business icon Michael Berman of Atlanta is a frequent visitor to the Center. He is a two time winner of the Lutts Cup, Lake Lutts' most prestigious tennis tournament. Mr. Berman is also an active supporter and benefactor of the Lake Lutts Preservation Society.
