Madison, Brooklyn

Madison Park is a purely residential neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. Named after its own James Madison High School, it is nestled just east of Homecrest and south of Midwood. Its borders are Kings Highway to the north, Avenue U to the south, Ocean Avenue to the west, and Nostrand Avenue to the east. Madison uses the ZIP code 11229. The area is served by Brooklyn Community Board 15.1

Judith Sheindlin (TV's Judge Judy) graduated from James Madison High School, as did United States Senator Bernie Sanders (Vermont) and United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
