Panskura I (community development block) is an administrative division in Tamluk subdivision of Purba Medinipur district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Panskura police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at Panskura. Bahirgram is a census town in this block.12

As per 2001 census, Panskura I block had a total population of 298,163, out of which 152,618 were males and 145,545 were females.
