List of Food Trucks in New York City

Not sure if you've seen this deletion discussion? Have you ever created any categories? I think a category of food trucks would be useful. I also think a list article of food trucks or food truck articles more broadly (not sure how that would be done? portal?) might also be useful. Enjoy your weekend and happy eating, oops I mean editing. Candleabracadabra (talk) 01:12, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi User:Candleabracadabra: Good idea. I have created Category:Food trucks. Feel free to categorize more food truck-related articles within this new cat. Cheers, NorthAmerica1000 02:22, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
I added Dickie Dee, it's not so much a ice cream truck, more like an ice cream bike, but the concept is the same...--kelapstick(bainuu) 19:03, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. NorthAmerica1000 19:56, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for your help. In addition to my question below, you are most welcome to assist with clear toy, red Easter egg, Regennas Candy Shop, Shane Confectionery, with the Pumpkin dessert and see also subject (merge needed) articles, and Simple & Crisp if any of them interest you. By a fun coincidence a couple of them are Easter related. Do you ever do Did You Knows? Candleabracadabra (talk) 02:21, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

N.b. replied in a thread below (section: In researching Red Easter eggs..). NorthAmerica1000 14:48, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Hey! How are you doing? Could you please check out TerraCycle for me and point out some errors? I plan to nominate it for DYK by tonight (the deadline). Thanks! Bananasoldier (talk) 08:38, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi User:Bananasoldier: Nice work on the article expansion. I may not have time to work on this article, and it doesn't appear to need much work at this point, but it is quite an impressive expansion. I remember working on this one around mid-2013 (see [1]). Thanks for improving it for Wikipedia's readers, and good luck with the DYK nomination. NorthAmerica1000 10:36, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
Hey, I actually resurrected your info about cigarettes :P. Thanks, though. Bananasoldier (talk) 14:12, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

Hey, just wanted to say great work on List of noodle dishes and List of noodles! Stephen (talk) 10:46, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi User:Slaporte: Thanks very much. They're a work in progress, and would benefit from the entries being filled-in with brief descriptions. These things take time and energy, though. Cheers, NorthAmerica1000 10:48, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
I'm no noodle expert, but I will take a look at what I can do. I noticed because I started a weekly newsletter of the most edited Wikipedia articles, and you single-handedly made those the #4 and #9 new articles for the week! Cheers, Stephen (talk) 10:56, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
User:Slaporte - If you ever plan on sending this newsletter within Wikipedia's servers, add me to the list. NorthAmerica1000 11:02, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
User:Slaporte - Also, in the event you're not aware of this Wikipedia resource, check out Wikipedia:Top 25 Report, which lists pages that receive the most page hits on a weekly basis. NorthAmerica1000 11:04, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

Missed that one — I guess it goes without saying that I haven't exactly done a lot of NACs (in fact, I think this one was my first ever). Kurtis (talk) 10:25, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi User:Kurtis: I saw the lack of a closing template, so added it in. Be sure to review the afd close instructions in entirety to prevent this type of error in the future. Thanks for your work to improve Wikipedia, and happy editing! NorthAmerica1000 11:32, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
I actually did look over the closing instructions, but I was in a bit of a hurry so I ultimately missed that particular clause. Not a big deal — it's not as if life's most important lessons aren't generally learned by mistake. ;-) Kurtis (talk) 07:45, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Need some food

hello. I am A.Minkowiski, after welcoming new comers and a continuous efforts against vandalism I need some food or kind Barnstar if I am eligible for it. Can I have it once from you :) ? A.Minkowiski _Lets t@lk 11:28, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

AfC awards

Hi! Thanks for taking on the task of awarding the barnstars. I think you may have not taken into account the extra points involved with the drive. I had another twelve in addition to my 123 actual reviews, so I think I'm supposed to have the tireless contributor award instead of the working Wikipedian. Note the little award icons next to the totals on the drive page. Thanks! — MusikAnimal talk 17:30, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the notification, I've redone the post to your talk page accordingly. YesY NorthAmerica1000 17:52, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Category:Florida wineries

Hi Northamerica1000. Would you please create this category? Thank you. Happy tidings. Candleabracadabra (talk) 12:18, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

User:Candleabracadabra: do you have a list of Florida wineries to categorize here? It's best to first have articles to categorize, and then create the cat. NorthAmerica1000 12:48, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
I created an article on Bunker Hill Vineyard & Winery and another editor added the category before realizing that it didn't exist. I also just created Keel & Curley. Here's link with a map of other wineries in Florida. Florida Orange Groves and San Sebastian Winery are notable. I am not familiar with the others or which may have articles already. March 2014 AFC backlog drive.

Greetings, Northamerica1000! I'm just here inquiring about the distribution of the awards for the drive - I don't know if you were the one who handed them out this time, but I recall you were on the drive before, so I took a guess. Anyway, it seems I was overlooked again, so I'm just letting someone know. Spring in Wikipedia is lovely! Just avoid the articles on flowers... (talk) 23:38, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

Yes check.svg Done. Please be sure to list your Backlog Elimination Drive pages at the monthly project pages (e.g. March 2014 Backlog Elimination Drive). Otherwise, it's unlikely that people will know about your contributions. Cheers, NorthAmerica1000 23:46, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

Old prod full

Please add {{old prod full}} or a similar template to articles when you de-prod them. I have already done Talk:Ark Sciences for you. Thanks. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 19:23, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

I have added a note to the talk page explaining why I think the references, including the Daily Mail reference, do not by themselves support notability. I have taken the page to AFD. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 19:52, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
(ping) User:davidwr: Regarding {{old prod full}}: I'll keep this in mind, although note that it not required to do. There is no requirement at Wikipedia:Guide to deletion or Template:Proposed deletion to do so, and at Template:Old prod full it states "This is a courtesy, and also a handy record of the rationales given by the proposer, seconder (if any) and contester." One matter is the ease in which prodders can simply type in "NN", sometimes without having searched for sources as suggested at WP:BEFORE, but those that deprod after, for example, finding and adding sources to an article, still have even one more hoop to jump through. Meanwhile, some prodders are already onto the next article, prodding under "NN" while not bothering to search for sources. I'm not saying that you do this, but it's not very balanced in terms of the workload, particularly for cases as delineated in my example above. NorthAmerica1000 21:36, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 21

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Production of urban electric transport in Russia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Trolley (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
