Esta es una lista de los especiales de Halloween de Los Simpson (Treehouse of Horror) de la serie de televisión estadounidense Los Simpson. Estos episodios especiales han formado parte de todas las temporadas de la serie desde la segunda (1990) y cada uno tiene tres secciones separadas. Estas secciones normalmente implican a la familia Simpson en un escenario de horror, ciencia ficción o fenómenos sobrenaturales y siempre tienen lugar fuera de la continuidad habitual de los episodios, por lo que son consideradas no canónicas.

El primer episodio de este tipo, Treehouse of Horror, fue estrenado el 25 de octubre de 1990 y está inspirado en los relatos de terror de EC Comics.1 Todos los episodios anteriores a Treehouse of Horror XI, del año 2000 fueron estrenados antes del 31 de octubre. Treehouse of Horror II fue el único emitido propiamente en Halloween. De todas formas, debido al actual contrato de la cadena Fox con la Serie Mundial de las Grandes Ligas de Béisbol, el resto de episodios han sido emitidos en noviembre.2

Desde el primer especial hasta Treehouse of Horror XIII, el guion de cada una de las tres secciones ha sido escrito por guionistas diferentes, existiendo casos de un cuarto guionista encargado de las secuencia de apertura y de las secuencias de enlace entre las secciones.3 El primer episodio especial, Treehouse of Horror, contó incluso con tres directores diferentes.4 Sin embargo, desde Treehouse of Horror XIV, perteneciente a la decimoquinta temporada, sólo un guionista aparece en los títulos de crédito y así ha continuado en los siguientes.5 6 7 8

Todos estos episodios especiales son significativamente más violentos que los episodios habituales y suelen tener características comunes entre ellos, como la aparición, en todos los capítulos, de la pareja de alienígenas Kang y Kodos.1 Con frecuencia cada sección parodia películas, libros, programas de radio o de televisión muy conocidos. La serie The Twilight Zone ha sido parodiada en varias ocasiones y ha servido como inspiración para muchos episodios especiales.9
